Being vegan and gluten-free, this posed a challenge, but I was able to find a great recipe and we made them today before General Conference started at noon. It was really fun and a learning experience for both of us! The final step was to broil the pies, but without a broil feature on our oven, Seth got creative and used his blow torch!
They tasted amazing, even though they were meatless and the pie crust was gluten-free.
Eddie's friend Claira begged to be chef de partie (the sous chef's sous chef) and we made them. We attracted Rosie and Claira's sister Annie, so there were definitely too many cooks in the kitchen, but it was fun.
